It is dubbed TelOne-QueenMakers Girls.
This year's TelOne QueenMakers Foundation has hosted great motivational speakers such as Dr. Petina Gappah and Maud Chifamba, who took the girls through their amazing life journeys.
Founder of the QueenMakers Trust, Nyaradzo Viki-Mavindize said her organisation empowers future female leaders between the age of 13 and 15.
"We want to do away with societies that view women as inferior and replace it with the one where women can actually stand on their feet doing great things.
"We partner with women in the corporate world and TelOne is our biggest partner eager to assist the girls through their QueenMakers experience.
"The TelOne's managing director Mrs Chipo Mtasa has been a great mentor through the past two years we have worked together," she said.
Viki-Mavindize said the programme seeks to empower and support young girls in high school to reach their fullest potential.
"Through mentorship and training on various life skills topics a number of girls will be empowered.
"The programme is especially targeted at girls with potential and coming from disadvantaged background.
"The programme will annually deliberately run from the month of October as a symbolic celebration of the girl child's day which is October 11," she said.
Viki-Muvindize said through the programme, TelOne is enrolling 200 girls country wide and take them through the series of empowering topics with different experts.
"These will include leadership development, information, communication and technology skills (ICT) skills, financial literacy, grooming and etiquette, sexual reproductive health among other topics.
"The first group consist of 100 form 3s and form 5 girls from different Harare Schools which include Harare High, Domboramwari High, Zengeza 1 High and Glenview 1 High.
"This group will be attached to a lady mentor from TelOne who will host the girls during the 'Job Shadow week' and support them throughout their year-long QueenMakers journey," she said.
Muvindize added that their goal is to nature and support the girl's talents while empowering and training them to be confident and equip them with knowledge on how to make right decisions about their future and career.
"The programme will initially prepare them for their actual workplace and teach them how to be a critical thinker in decision making.
"It is also meant to create opportunities and an environment for learning life skills beyond the home and classroom environment.
"At the end girls will realise personal value, self-worth, self-esteem, self-confidence and they will also walk away with a TelOne-QueenMakers certificate presented at a graduation ceremony in August 2019."
