These include 5G connectivity, the fastest wireless charging currently available in any smartphone, a 108MP camera, and the latest mobile RAM technology.
The devices share the same design and many of the same specifications, with the exception of their camera setups and charging capabilities.
The chassis design is similar to the Mi Note 10, with hyperboloid glass on the front and back and the cameras arranged in a column on the upper left rear of the phone.
Both the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro sport a curved 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1,080 x 2,340 resolution and refresh rate of 90Hz.
On the inside, the devices boast Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.
Storage configurations for the Mi 10 are 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB, while the Mi 10 Pro has options of 256GB or 512GB.
Camera and charging
The Xiaomi Mi 10's quad-camera setup includes a 108MP main lens, 13MP ultra-wide, a 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor.
The Mi 10 Pro also has a 108MP lens but gets 20MP for ultra-wide shooting, a 12MP portrait camera and 8MP telephoto lens.
This configuration makes it capable of shooting in 8K, with support for 10x hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom.
The Mi 10 boasts the biggest battery of the two at 4,780mAh with 30W wired and wireless charging support.
The Pro comes with a 4,500mAh battery, which also supports 30W wireless charging and wired charging to 50W.
Both devices offer 10W reverse charging.
Availability and pricing
The Mi 10 started shipping in China on Friday, while the Mi 10 Pro will be released in the country on 18 February.
The entry-level Mi 10 is priced at 3,999 yuan (R8,560), and offers 128GB storage and 8GB RAM. The base Mi 10 Pro has a 4,999 yuan (R10,700) price tag and comes with 256GB storage and 8GB RAM.
