Tuverl an app that seeks to make Public Transport cheaper, more accessible, and predictable for commuters across Africa and is based in Bulawayo entered the Georgetown Africa Business Conference New Venture Competition held over the weekend in Washington DC and won the first price.
"We had the honour of participating in the @GeorgetownABC. New Venture Competition Finals organised by@YAPDC this past weekend. We are pleased to announce that Team Tuverl won the pitch competition," Tuverl posted on twitter.
Tuverl's founder, Hope Ndhlovu a young Zimbabwean software engineer also won the 2019 World Bank Youth Summit award for developing an application that seeks to make public transport cheaper, more accessible and predictable for commuters across Africa.
Hope was named the Jury Award Winner at the 2019 WBG Youth Summit which was held from December 2 – 3 at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington, DC in the USA.
