Craft Properties founder and chief executive officer Kudakwashe Taruberekera said the partnership comes after officials from his company had attended various meetings in Europe and America where they marketed business opportunities in various sectors in Zimbabwe.
"The proposed mega solar projects will benefit the country in terms of foreign direct investment, employment creation to the tune of above 4 000 people for a minimum period of five years.
"These will include skilled and unskilled people and supplementary power supply for the country to be incorporated into the national electricity grid," Taruberekera said.
The company anticipates that the solar project will be able to generate above 900MW of electricity in three to five years.
