Paradzai Matubu, stationed at Bindura, allegedly robbed the farm owners, Mark Creighton and Philip Butler of $72 000 and US$9 025 before getting away with the loot.
Matubu and his three accomplices Tapera Nyambayaro, Bonface George and Wonder Amidu allegedly drove Creighton and Butler to Westwood Road in Kambuzuma where they dumped them.
The quartet were not asked to plead to robbery charges when they appeared before Harare magistrate Learnmore Mapiye.
Prosecuting, Francesca Mukumbiri alleged that on July 30 at around 3:30pm, Matubu, Nyambayaro, George and Amidu in the company of four others; constable Moyo constable Chisango, Farai Chikadaya and Alvin Matunhire hatched a plan to steal from the farm.
The four accomplices are still on the run.
The gang allegedly drove to the Farm in two getaway vehicles, a Toyota Allion and a Blue Mercedes Benz.
Upon arrival, it is alleged that they parked the Mercedes Benz a few metres from the main gate while the other four driving the Toyota Allion approached the main gate.
The State alleges that they introduced themselves to Butler and Creighton as police officers from Harare Central Police Station and wanted to search for drugs.
It is alleged that they produced their police identity cards and Butler and Creighton showed them some pharmaceutical drugs which were at the farm's dispensary clinic.
During the search, the State alleges that the four saw a safe in one of the offices and they requested the complainants to open it.
Butler and Creighton complied and opened the safe in which the accused saw large bundles of the greenbacks and bond notes inside.
The court heard that one of the accused persons asked about the source of cash and its legitimacy but the duo provided proof of banking and withdrawal slips.
The four allegedly indicated that they were arresting Creighton and Butler for keeping large sums of money and were taking them to Harare Central Police Station.
They allegedly took two boxes were the money was, a file that had bank withdrawal slips and loaded them into the boot of the gang's Toyota Allion.
The suspected robbers also ordered Creighton and Butler to get in the car while others followed closely behind in the Mercedes Benz.
Upon arrival at the police station, the court heard that they parked the getaway car along Robson Manyika Avenue and one of the accused disembarked from the car and walked towards the main entrance.
The court heard that three remained with the complainants and drove to Westwood Road in Kambuzuma where they stopped at a secluded place and ordered them to get out of the car.
The robbers attempted to drive off and Creighton dived back into the car but was pushed out and sustained severe head injuries, the court heard.
