All set for cyber security symposium in Nyanga

Cadton Investments under its Executive Solutions banner hosts a cybersecurity symposium in Nyanga next week in partnership with ICT consultants in Zimbabwe.

The two-day event starts on August 8.

Symposium coordinator Oslen Mamhunze said the workshop covers issues around data breach and system safety.

"The symposium is set to discuss how cybercrime is affecting Zimbabwe and the world. We will discuss how Zimbabwe is responding to these cyber threats and how we professionals in the field can respond, in combating cybercrime and the counter strategies," he said.

Executive Solutions said the event also looks at the ICT Landscape in Zimbabwe, in particular issues to do with the Cyber Bill, Cyber Crime and cost to the industry, IT forensics and challenges and Botnet Malware and Cryptocurrency Mining.

Presenters include ICT Consultants: Herbert Mazikana, Nduduzo Tshuma, Engineer Jacob Kudzayi Mutisi, George Dzomba and Nyasha Chengedza.

It is expected that this symposium will be attended by chief information officers, IT auditors, IT security managers and IT systems administrators, compliance and risk managers.

Network managers and personnel administrators, IT managers and administrators, systems analysts, developers and programmers and microfinance organisations are also part of the people expected to be in Nyanga for this workshop.
