After the warriors left the nation in mourning courtesy of their early exit from the AFCON 2019 games, the Zimbabwe Robotics team managed to cheer the nation up, as they recently clinched a gold medal at the Robotics World Olympics which were held in Ghana.

Running under the theme "Making of African Smart Cities" teams were meant to build robots that would successfully complete a task. The Zimbabwean team was represented by students from Tynwald High School.

The Robotic Competitions provide a platform for students across the continent to develop their horizons in technology through exploration of robotics and artificial intelligence.
