Econet Buddie Beats has brought joy to a number of local artistes, including gospel musician and producer Fulton Bheme.

Bheme, who is riding high with his latest album titled Mukudzei, is urging his fans to use the Buddie Beats music application in order to access his songs.

Bhema, who is also the founder and director of Zingoma Trust, in an interview with Standard Style hailed the telecommunications company for creating a platform for musicians to sell and promote their music online.

"I was privileged to be invited to the Econet Buddie Beats application workshop held in Harare on Tuesday, where we learnt and contributed our ideas on how the app would benefit us," Bheme said.

"My album Mukudzei is now on this application and everyone can now download it from as little as RTGS$0,50, all one has to do is download the music application on Google Play Store."

Bheme believes the Buddie Beats application promotes and uplifts local content as well as support local musicians financially compared to other online platforms.

"This app has an advantage because the downloaded music can't be shared with the next person on social media platforms, meaning our music is protected from piracy," he said.

"By encouraging my fans to have this app is a way of making them realise the importance of local artistes and making them have latest updates of what's new on the industry and what's hot from artistes.

"My debut album Mukudzei is still new on the market and needs everyone's support in order to flourish just like the Buddie Beats application, which is coming from a service provider with over 10 million subscribers. I foresee my album penetrating well because of a wider platform".

The gospel crooner's songs have been aired on different radio stations, with the likes of Dare raChangamire being in the Coca-Cola Top 20 charts on Radio Zimbabwe, while Zarura, on which he features Patience Masiyambiri, once topped 98.4 FM Gospel 20 and Mavambo being part of the gospel playlist at YaFM in Zvishavane.

Several artistes, gospel and secular, attended the Econect Buddie Beats workshop.
