Supa Mandiwanzira's trial at the High Court went in motion today, which saw Justice Nicholas Mathonsi granting the former ICT minister's order unopposed.

Former ICT Minister had approached the High Court after Magistrate Elijah Makomo threw out his application for exemption to charges.

Mandiwanzira has been embroiled in a $5 million-consultancy matter against NetOne where he is being accused of handpicking Megawatt without going through tender.

Mandiwanzira allegedly appointed his personal assistant, Tawanda Chinembiri, to the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz) board without following laid procedures.
