THE National Social Security Authority (NSSA) has advised members of the public not to be swayed by the circulation of internal vacancies on social media.

The Authority says it has been receiving unwarranted applications and responses from members of the public.

Social media has been subject to abuse through some individuals taking advantage of the unemployed to advertise vacancies for different companies in order to rob people money.

NSSA advises the public that should external vacancies arise,  people will be notified through official communication channels such as national newspapers, the NSSA website and its social media platforms.

NSSA also advised the public to take heed of the guidelines to avoid the risk of being duped by unscrupulous individuals.
