ZESA Holdings has four subsidiary companies, Zimbabwe Power Company (Pvt) Ltd, Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission & Distribution Company (Pvt) Ltd, ZESA Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd and Powertel Communications (Pvt) Ltd.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position that has arisen in the utility.
GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Group Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the effective leadership and financial management of the organisation.
Key areas of responsibility: -
■Pro-actively shape the future of ZESA Holdings and ensure its financial and operational sustainability.
■ Develop commercially sound strategies in line with the mandate of the utility and cognisant of evolving energy markets and technologies.
■ Create an ethos of excellence and continuous improvement in the provision of the highest levels of customer service within a dynamic market environment.
■Ensure adequate and effective financial systems and Company operations.■Ensure compliance to sound corporate governance.■ Champion employee development and deployment.
■ Ensure the turnaround of the organisation and improve its going concern status.
■ Lead the rebundling process into a single merged entity.
Preferred Requirements: -
■A graduate in Engineering, preferably with a post-graduate qualification in a business or commercial field of study,
■ Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in turnaround initiatives of a sizeable business,
■ At least 15 years working experience of which 10 years should be at Senior Management level,
■ Extensive understanding and experience in funding and managing large capital projects, strategic human capital deployment and governance related matters,
■ Strong in managing complex stakeholder and media relationships including relationships with regional and international utilities.
