Many of you have since downloaded the Toda application but are yet to understand how the application really works.

Today we are taking you through the process.

Where do we catch Toda Rides?

Toda is a mobile application where you can catch a ride from the comfort of your home, school or workplace. It accomplishes this by matching those requiring transport services with registered available drivers nearest to them.

The first and most important step is to download the application, which is available for download on Google Play Store for Android users and the Apple App Store for iPhone users. This process will require minimum data to download and register your personal details with us.

How does it work?

In order to use Toda, you only need three things: a smartphone, the mobile app and internet connectivity. Simply download and install the application on your smartphone, sign-up personal details and get                                                     started.

To request a driver, the first thing you should do is choose the vehicle type that you want. Toda currently has four vehicle offerings - Toda Go, Toda Lux, Toda Grande and Toda Truk. The application uses google maps to pick your location, but you can also manually add your pick-up point, add your destination, get your fare estimate, confirm your request and your ride is on the way.

Our fares are dependent on time and distance travelled. Before a ride request is initiated, users can get an estimated fare, which gives an indication of how much they are likely to pay, and after the real ride, the app automatically re-calculates the fare to give you the final fare, which is normally just about or the same as the estimated fare.

The cost of all Toda rides is automatically billed through Ecocash. However, a user can opt to pay using cash, while we work on gradually integrating more payment options into the system.

By default, the Ecocash payment option is selected, and a pin request will be sent at the end of the ride to authorise payment. However, if you wish to pay using cash, make sure you select cash as your preferred method before confirming the request.
