The state alleges that Hwende sent messages through his Twitter account where he was inciting people to oust the constitutionally elected government through illegal means.
However, Hwende through his lawyer Harrison Nkomo, had applied for refusal of further remand arguing that the Twitter account did not belong to his client.
State Prosecutor Charles Muchemwa alleged that during the period extending from December 28 to 31, 2018, Hwende posted on his Twitter handle messages that in their nature had the effect of inciting the people to revolt against the Government both in his personal capacity and as an MDC-Alliance Member of Parliament for Kuwadzana East constituency.
It is however common knowledge that there have been two Twitter accounts under the name Hwende, there is@hwendec and one @hwende
In a tweet earlier today through his official twitter account Hwende said;
"Just finished my Court case our Application for refusal of further remand has been dismissed the State still need more time to engage experts," he said.
The case has been remanded to 11 June 2019.
