Chaesub Lee, who was re-elected for a second term to be director of the United Nations agency International Telecommunications Union (ITU) at the end of last year, said the global ITU conference which is only being hosted for the second time in Africa in Zimbabwe, would focus on narrowing the "digital divide" between rich and poor countries, networks for the future, including the putative 5G mobile network that promises better connections to cope with ever-increasing number of mobile Internet users.
