First Capital Bank to close branches while migrating to new IT systems

First Capital Bank formerly known as Barclays will migrate to new Information technology (IT) systems with effect from 4 March 2019.

The migration-related activities will commence after banking hours on Thursday 28 February 2019 and will continue into the early hours of Monday 4 March 2019.

Upon completion of the project, the bank's systems will integrate with those of their group, FMB Holdings Plc, enabling the bank to offer a wider range of products and services.

Below is a notice from the bank:

We advise our valued customers, clients and other stakeholders that our banking halls and service centres will be closed on 1 and 2 March 2019 For a major IT System migration.

Mobile and Internet banking, as well as card services will not be available during the migration period. Our banking halls will offer extended banking hours till 17:00hrs on Wednesday 27 February 2019 to accommodate customer requirements and minimize any inconvenience that may be caused by service unavailability during the migration period. Normal banking service will resume on Monday 4 March 2019.
