With the economy not at its best, it is shocking to still have million dollar vehicles landing one after the other at the Robert Mugabe International Airport.If you spotted one or two supercars below is a list of ten of the most expensive cars in Zimbabwe parading the streets of Harare.

Flamboyant businessman, Frank Buyanga is the owner of the ‘mysterious' $2 million supercar.
The Bugatti is the fastest, most powerful, and exclusive production super sports car in Zimbabwe's history.The Veyron Fbg par Hermes is powered by a 16-cylinder "W" configuration engine which is fed by four turbochargers and features 64 valves, generating 1001 horse¬power at 6000 rpm. The engine draws on its 8-litre displacement to deliver a maximum torque of 1250 Newton-metres between 2200 and 5500 rpm. The Hummer H2 Limo Transformer may be the first vehicle of its kind in Zimbabwe, but it most certainly is not the first one in the world, contrary to claims to that effect by the vehicle's importer, colourful Harare businessman, Phillip Chiyangwa.
He said such used Hummer would cost between $25 000 and $40 000. Stretching and customising would entail an additional $100 000 to $150 000. If this was the route followed by Chiyangwa, shipping and customs duty would have brought the total cost of importing his vehicle to about $500 000 the only alternative would have been to buy secondhand. Modified by a rent-a-limo service, this Hummer H2 Limo Transformer is most certainly a party on wheels. The 24-seater is fitted with extra floor space, extra legroom and extra seating, three jet doors, disco floors and ceiling with stand up head space, a stripper pole and three plasma screens including a 50-inch display. Sounds better than most nightclubs.
Bentley Mulsanne - $405 000
Zimbabwe was given the opportunity to witness such a master piece and we ought to thank the Managing Director for Traverze Zodwa Mkandla,Frank Buyanga and the Chief executive officer of Sakunda Mr Kuda Tagwirei for purchasing this beauty. We probably have not more than four of these in the country.
This is one of the most luxurious vehicles only for the wealthy.It has a touchscreen infotainment system with a 60GB solid-state hard drive, state-of-the-art blind spot assist and a telephone upgrade to 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot for a better user experience. Dr.Phillip Chiyangwa - a politician, businessman, socialite, football administrator and controversial personality in Zimbabwe was the first to have this Top of the range Phantom. Under the bonnet there are 12 cylinders and it has rear-wheel drive with a 6-Speed transmission. It has the usual quality leather seats,back up camera,moonroof,navigation system and a chauffer-driven set up.
Bentley Continental Gt- $300 000
Created for agile, exhilarating driving, the Continental GT is built on an innovative chassis and electrical architecture, featuring a completely new 6.0 litre W12 engine and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, for smooth, fast and efficient gear changes.So far we know four of these in the country. Ginimbi owns a red one and Phillip Chiyangwa owns a sky blue one. Spirit Embassy Ministries founder Prophet Uebert Angel Mudzanire allegedly convinced a Harare businessman to surrender his Bentley as a way of sowing a seed into his life, but the "man of God" immediately sold the vehicle just after receiving it despite having promised to return it to the owner if he failed to reap the promised harvest within the stipulated period.The controversial Bentley is black in colour with W16 engine.

A vehicle that drives as smooth as a silk sheet, is silent as a library, and is 600-horsepower strong, take a look at the 2018 Bentley Bentayga. With a starting price of $195,000 and easily cresting $245,000 for most versions, the latest entry in the luxury SUV market may feel overpriced. But for those who desire the best of British engineering in an SUV form, it's the obvious choice.The Bentagya goes from 0-100 km/hr in 4.0 seconds.This is a 5,379-pound, eight-speed, AWD, beautiful beast. Top speed is 300 km/per hour. Frank Buyanga, Kuda Tagwirei and Ginimbi fell in love with this beast and have been seen in Harare driving them.
Aston Martin DB9- $210 000
This british car is also familiar in our Zimbabwean roads. However they are not so many due to their price.The Aston Martin DB9 was initially launched equipped with a 5.9 litre V12 engine. The engine produced 570 N⋅m (420 lb⋅ft) of torque at 5,000 rpm and a maximum power of 450 bhp (336 kW; 456 PS) at 6,000 rpm.The DB9 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 299 km/h.Frank Buyanga owns one which we rarely see but once in a while its driven in the poshy suburbs of Borrowdale and it is rumoured that Dr Chinyangwa has a similar Aston Martin.
It is no longer a secret that Zimbabweans love all sorts of cars from sports cars to SUVs.It is just unusual that in this economic situation people are still stubborn enough to quench their thirst on expensive exotic cars.We hope that more special vehicles will make their way to Zimbabwe so we can stop seeing them on magazines and television commercials.
