MARKETING MANAGER-MOBILE FINANCIAL SERVICES
Responsibility
The incumbent shall be responsible to the Managing Director-Mobile Financial Services.
Principal Job Accountability
1. Leads the formulation and Implementation of marketing policies and procedures that will deliver the SBU's mandate and strategy;
2. Initiates, develops and implements marketing and business development strategies that will increase the return on investment of the shareholder;
3. Develop the marketing department budget, monitors and manages associated costs for the department;
4, Solicits market intelligence that will ensure creation of value for all stakeholders;
5. Prospects for new clients;
6. Manages customer product awareness and satisfaction;
7. Ensures that the department is appropriately staffed with persons and skills at the right level;
8. Manages stuff performance and expedites performance improvement programs or training where deficiencies are noted;
Qualifications and Experience .
Minimum B.Com Marketing, Business Studies Degree or equivalent.
• A holder of a post graduate degree such as MBA or equivalent is on added advantage.
Professional qualification such as full Chartered Institute of Marketing is an added advantage. , Membership of professional body such as MAZ is desirable.
• A Diploma in Project Management is an added advantage.
A minimum of 6 years' relevant work experience, 3 years of which should have been at a managerial level.
Competencies.
Must have a thorough understanding of market trends and related dynamics and be able to advice management accordingly;
Must be able to formulate and implement viable Marketing strategies;
Must have proven experience in carrying out negotiations at high levels. facilitating such meetings and preparing concise reports;
• Ability to analyse and deal with complex Marketing issues is needed;
• Must have a proven track record and competence in project proposal formulation, management and Implementation;
Must be an innovative and business oriented person with a thorough grounding in business management and dynamics;
• Must have proven team leadership skills;
